Our Mission

The Mission

At KidOne Camps our number one focus is on kids. Our mission is to invest in the lives of the children of Coeur d’Alene and the surrounding area. We are here to make a difference. It’s more than just a job to us, it’s our purpose. This is our one focus and first priority, hence the name KidOne. It is our purpose to provide families with a fun environment where children can grow.

We are a Christian organization and we base everything we do on God's word. The Bible says “Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6). What they learn now will stick with them throughout their life. We believe all children need a solid foundation on God’s word and answers to the questions they have.

It is our passion to tell young children about God, the Bible, Jesus, and the message of salvation. We are here to reach out to children with the gospel (Mark 16:15), help them grow in relationship with Jesus Christ (2 Pet. 3:18) and give them answers about the world from the Bible (1 Pet. 3:15).

This is what we are called to do.

And He said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation."

Mark 16:15

Reaching

Out

Our first area of focus is reaching out to children with the gospel (Mark 16:15). The gospel message is the wonderful plan of salvation for all people. We explain God’s plan of salvation and present it to children who have never heard or never understood the gospel. Salvation is a choice and we never force a child to believe anything.

To the children that already know the gospel message, we reinforce their understanding and knowledge of the gospel. We encourage them to share the good news with others. Explaining the gospel is a very important part of our camps. This is the very base of Christianity and a complete understanding is essential to any child of God.

help

Grow

It is important not only to teach salvation but also growing in a relationship with Christ after salvation. For those who are children of God we encourage and help them grow in grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ (2 Pet. 3:18).

This is where teaching character is important. But we are not teaching good works or moralism but proclaiming the power Jesus gives us to do good. The best investment into the future is growing a personal relationship with God. God has a plan for the life of every child.

But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.

2 Peter 3:18

But in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect

1 Peter 3:15

Give

Answers

The world is full of questions. Where did people come from? Why is there suffering in the world? What is my purpose in life? Kids also have many questions. But the Bible, God’s word, gives us answers. But we are seeing young people leave the Church when they get older. This is because as children they were not given the answers to the many questions they have. They don’t understand what they believe.

At KidOne, we encourage questions. Kids need to know the answers that come from the Bible. We direct kids to the bible when answering any question, and help them base their beliefs off the Bible. We help kids be prepared to give answers to those that may ask them (1 Pet. 3:15). This is why we put a emphasis on teaching apologetics.

We encourage thinking, not just accepting whatever you hear. We want every child to know why they believe what they do, and how they can defend it.

All

Together

Each camp brings together the gospel, growth, and answers into one camp. Our camps are a combination of multiple elements into one camp for kids, another reason for the name KidOne.

We do this because we want to see these kids grow up to be world changers. We invest in them, because they will be the leaders of the next generation. They can make a difference in the world, and we want them to make that difference. This is not a job to us, it’s our purpose.

Providing a fun environment where children can grow is what we do. Telling young children about God, the Bible, Jesus, and the message of salvation is our passion.

This is our calling.

How do we do this?
